Despite the downsizing, there is movement. Here are some of the latest comings and goings. Recognize anyone?

This time around, we note that EMD Serono, the U.S. unit of Merck KGaA, hired Joseph Leveque as U.S. Chief Medical Officer. Most recently, he headed U.S. oncology at Bristol-Myers Squibb and, before that, Leveque worked at Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Cephalon and Amgen.

Bayer promoted Habib Dable to president of Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals in the US;

Novo Nordisk hired Stephen Gough as its senior principal clinical scientist;

Myriad Generics hired Jan Schlucher as chief commercial officer of its international unit;

AcelRx Pharmaceuticals hired Gina Ford as vice president of commercial strategy;

PhRMA hired Stephen Uhl as chief executive officer and president;

Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research hired Jay Bradner as president;

Xenoport promoted Vincent Angotti to chief executive officer;

Abivax hired Jean-Marc Steens as chief medical officer;

NeRRe Therapeutics hired Mary Kerr as chief executive officer;

Atterocor hired Jeffery Brinza as senior vice president, administration and general counsel;

Plaquetec hired Tim Brears as chief executive officer;

Bicycle Therapeutics hired Kevin Lee as chief executive officer;

Acutus Medical hired John Dahldorf as chief financial officer;

Acutus Medical hired Martin Chambers as chief commercial officer;

Acutus Medical hired Steven McQuillan as senior vp, regulatory and clinical affairs;
